CSAI Background:
The CSAI started in September 2010 with first address on “Infrastructure Issues for Cyber Security & Terrorism” by Prof. NK Goyal, President CMAI as eminent speaker and Senior telecom analyst at “Cyber Security: Threats and Challenges” held at Vivekanand International Foundation (VIF) on 9 September 2010 sharing conference with Shri Ajit Doval, the then Director VIF, Former Director of Intelligence Bureau, etc. Shri Doval underscored that “our dependencies define our vulnerabilities”. Cyber space, he said, was now a huge dependency and hence had become a major vulnerability. There was a need for situational awareness in this critical realm, he added. Cyber Security Association of India is established to provide Cyber Security awareness, data protection, guidance, online Protection of Child, Safe Internet usages and security solutions through collaboration, education, volunteer work, and training to assist the Indian Government, Industry and Academia by providing skills and training in cyber security, digital forensic, system and network protection, penetration testing, ethical hacking, cyber security as vocational/skill in schools/colleges, Institutes.
Cyber Security Association founded on main pillars supporting the mission: Collaboration, Knowledge-Sharing and Training/Capacity Building. It is a multi-sectoral forum where leaders from industry and government can exchange strategic information and insights, share and discuss emerging threats, and establish partnerships to advance knowledge. Cyber Security Association aims Develop enduring partnerships between government policy makers, private industry and public sector organizations to ensure that critical infrastructure and sensitive information are protected.
Cyber Security Association endeavors to form an exemplary think thank workforce in cyber security to advise to protect technology resources from increasing threats and formulate strategies and solutions that ensure that India continues to lead in areas of cybersecurity at a national level.
Objectives of the Cyber Security Association:
Provide a consistent voice for industry regarding cyber security policies at National level.
Collaborate on special projects to breakdown developing threats and topics to create white papers, analytical products on unique and sophisticated cyber-attacks.
Not only show problems of cyber security, but also give solutions.
Collaboration to create countermeasures that promote a stronger cyber national security posture.
Establishing an Association that includes a diverse makeup of public and private sector leaders and cybersecurity practitioners to collaborate on matters of cybersecurity concerning India.
Develop strategies and solutions to increase the number and quality of cybersecurity practitioners in India
Promote collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurship in cybersecurity to further develop the cybersecurity industry
Evaluate program requirements that establish exemplary cybersecurity practices and consider adoption within private and public entities
Provide a consistent voice for industry regarding cybersecurity policies at a local, state, and National level
Promote awareness and education of cybersecurity throughout the Country
Promote and Guide for starting cyber security programs/skilling in educational Institutes/Universities.
Founder TEMA/CMAI
Telecom Equipment Manufacturers Association of India, established in 1990, is India's first and oldest association in Indian Telecom Sector. www.tema@tematelecom.in
TEMA is the first one in bringing focus on the associated security risks due to continuous dependence on imported network equipment and components for the telecom networks in India.
To promote and develop the "Make in India" brand globally, TEMA also promoted an international body CMAI for International cooperation and policy dialogue and to cover related sectors of Cyber, ICT, Infrastructure, Education & Skilling etc. www.cmai.asia
With 48,500 members and MOUs with 74 International and National Organizations, CMAI is now the largest ICT association in Asia for global cooperation and policy dialogue not only in the sector of Telecom but also in all associated sectors such as ICT, Education, Cyber Security, Skill development, Innovation and Start-Up ecosystem. CMAI supports financially TEMA and all other promoted associations including Cyber Security Association of India.
TEMA also founder of TEPC (Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council), which is a DPIIT/DOT promoted Export Council dedicated to exports and manufacturing.
CMAI is known world over as the only association in the world whose President Prof NK Goyal has inaugurated and joined the ribbon cutting of CES, Las Veg, USA world's largest electronics show for the last eleven years.

CSAI MEMBERSHIP FEE STRUCTURE AND PREVILIGES
1. Corporate Members- Product, Services, OEM, System Integrators, Make in India
Any firm/concern/company/society engaged in the manufacturing and/or service activities in the area of cyber security, data protection can apply for corporate membership.
Admission fees Rs 1.00 Lacs
Annual Fees Rs 1.00 Lacs
2. MSME Micro/Start Ups members Members: Eligible for concessional Associate membership fees of Rs 50,000/- per annum.
3. Members belonging to Physically empowered, socially challenged categories.
They may apply for concessional membership.
4. Overseas Privileged Member - Overseas members are welcome to join and ask details of membership fees by email cybercmai@ncsai.in . Overseas people/companies are not allowed for individual membership. They should apply for prime or corporate membership.
5. Academic Institutions- Rs 50,000 Admission fees plus 50,000 Rs Annual Fees
6. Association National/Regional Chamber of Commerce/Association - On Bilateral Basis
