This is how you could lose your money With Screensharing :

Suppose you want to book a cab, then you got a website and they are providing you a cab. While booking cab, you may share screen and lose  money:

1.  While booking ride they will ask for some small amount for any purpose, may be driver details.

2.  When you try to pay via UPI it will show some error.

3.  Then they will call you, and say let me help you.

4.  They will ask for Screensharing, so that they can fix the issue you are facing.

5.  After you share your screen, they can see every OTP you are receiving.

6.  Precaution: Do not share your screen to someone you don’t know, or you can lose your money…. 

This is how you could lose your money With Call Merging:

1.  You receive a call from someone, saying your friend gave your number for event or something else.

2.  Then he will say let me merge your friend too.

3.  You will receive a call from unknown number, but he will say this is your friend’s new number.

4.  The moment you merge the call, you will lose your money

5.  That’s not your friend’s call but a call for OTP

6.  Precaution:- Do not merge any call if you don’t know who he/she is…. 

This is how you could lose your money With Call Forwarding:

1.  You receive a call from someone, saying he is from some Mart, like Vishal Mega or something else.

2.  Then he will say we are giving offers to our customers.

3.  Then he will say to claim this offer you have to dial an e-code, for any reason that he made.

4.  Then he will send you a code (eg:- 401<10-digit number>).

5.  The moment you dial the code you have forwarded you call without your knowledge.

6.  After call forwarding, all our calls, OTP on voice etc. are sent to the hacker’s phone and you lose the money.

7.  Precautions:- Do not dial any code that you received from someone you don’t know and always check where it’s starting from codes like 401, 403 that causes call forwarding. 

This is how you could lose your money With Screenshot:

Suppose you want to book a room, then you got a website and they are providing you the room at cheapest amount. While booking room, you may lose money:

1.  While booking room they will ask for some small amount for any purpose, may be booking fee.

2.  When you try to pay via UPI it will show some error.

3.  Then they will call you, and say let me help you.

4.  Then they will say currently UPI is not working you can pay using card. He will say without OTP we can’t do anything.

5.  After you provide card detail’s they will send you an OTP of some amount.

6.  After you share the OTP, they will say we didn’t receive any money.

7.  They will say share me the screenshot so that we can check. After you share the screenshot, they will say send us 1 Rupee for some reason.

8.  Again, you will receive an OTP but this time amount is big (like 16000), you will tell them that this OTP is for big amount.

9.  Then will say send me the screenshot let me check how it’s possible.

10.                   The moment you realize, you lost your money.

11.                   Precautions:- Never share your Screenshot’s related to your bank to anyone.
